Spazzarini Construction was awarded the $ 1,788,617,00 contract for the replacement of a bridge located on Turnpike Road in Somers CT. This staged project consists of the removal of an existing CMP pipe and the installation of a new 35’ long 3-Sided Box Culvert Bridge. This box culvert is supported by 18 Micropiles, 300+ CY of Cast-in-Place Concrete for foundations and headwalls, new drainage system, 380 tons of asphalt, new guard rails and landscaping. This project is scheduled to start April 1st 2020 and will be completed in Spring 2021.
