Spazzarini Construction Co., LLC was awarded the $13,250,545 general contract for the road reconstruction on Rt. 44 in Avon by the Connecticut Department of Transportation. This 3 year project focuses on safety and traffic improvements such as widening the road and shoulders, softening existing curves, and constructing a median to separate opposing traffic. This project also includes the closure of an intersection and the modification of others. In addition to the safety improvements, this project consists of various drainage updates and modifications.
